Your organization is the home for your band’s shared library. It’s what holds your music, your instrument list, and your members. You’ll be the owner, with full admin control. Before you start, make sure you’ve created and logged into your own Virtual Song Book account.

1. Open the New Organization form
- At the top of the page, open the organization dropdown. It shows your current organization’s name (for example, “Demo”) — or simply says Organization if you’re not in one yet.
- Select New Organization.
2. Enter your organization details
- Organization Name: the name of your band or group.
- Email Address: prefilled with yours. If you’re setting the organization up for someone else, enter their email instead.
- Click Save & Continue.
You’ll then be prompted to set up your instrument list.

3. Set up your instrument list (optional)
Your instrument list controls how parts are matched to players. You can add instruments now, or skip and do it later. For the full walkthrough — including how keywords work — see How to Set Up Your Instrument List.

When you’re done, you’ll be prompted to enter your billing details.
4. Enter your billing information (optional)
You can add billing now or later — but if no payment details are on file by the end of your 7-day free trial, access to your organization is suspended until you enter them. To avoid any interruption, it’s best to complete billing during setup.
What’s next
With your organization created, you’re ready to invite your band and upload your music.
