Concert Mode lets one device ( the conductor’s) control what appears on everyone else’s. When the conductor picks a song, that song’s part shows up on every connected musician’s device at once, so the whole group stays on the same page through a rehearsal or performance. One person hosts as the Conductor; everyone else joins as a Musician.
Opening Concert Mode
- On a tablet: tap the Concert Mode button (the globe icon) in the top-right toolbar.
- On a phone: tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, then Concert Mode.
The Concert Mode window opens with two choices, Conductor and Musician. Pick the one that fits your role.
Hosting as the Conductor
The conductor is the person who drives the session (usually the director).
- Under Conductor, tap Host.
- Your device shows a passcode for the session and a list of musicians as they connect. Share the passcode with your group.
- Once everyone has joined, tap Start to launch the session.
- Pick a song from your library. The moment you open it, that song appears on every connected musician’s device, with each musician seeing their own part.
Joining as a Musician
Everyone who isn’t hosting joins as a musician.
- Under Musician, tap Browse.
- Your device searches for nearby conductors. Tap your conductor’s device in the list.
- Enter the passcode shown on the conductor’s screen to pair.
- Once connected, tap Launch to enter the session. From there, whenever the conductor starts and picks a song, your part appears automatically.
During the session
From here, the conductor is in control: each time they switch songs, the new part appears on everyone’s device in sync. No searching or page-flipping for the musicians. To leave, close and quit the app.
